Parent Interview

After I interviewed my dad, I discovered that many things have changed over the past decades. However, some things are still the same, we still do the same things such as hanging out with our friends and doing sports and many more things. Then again, the technology has advanced and its more of an indoors life compared to back then. Back then, life was more outdoors, there was more surfing and swimming and that outdoor stuff. Now it's basically about technology and cars, and for some people moving. When my dad was young they had always lived in the same city and same house all their life so he's alway been with the same friends, but now people are moving a lot so you always have to make new friends. I think that it is harder to be an adolescent now because there are more challenges compared to back then. Now, people move a lot, this means you need to make new friends all the time. It was also probably a lot safer back then so you would be allowed to go out with yourself or with your friends all the time. Now you always have to be careful no matter where you are. I am glad that I did this interview because now I learnt so many things about my dad and how things have changed over the generations.

  1. Sarah, very well written response. I would agree that teens today do definitely have more pressures to what their parents or grandparents faced, but in much different ways. You kids who are moving frequently face some pressures your parents never had to face. Your parents had to face problems that you may never have to deal with. Again, good job!

  2. Sounds like you really did learn a lot about your dad. Would you rather be an adolescent then or now? I know it's a hard question but you mentioned that technology has advanced and would you rather have a small amount of technology or computers like the one i am using right now to right a comment. well nice post
